On Saturday, February 9^th, the second Sunday School Teachers retreat was held at St. Mary’s Church of Orange County. The theme of the retreat was ‘The Interpretation of the Syriac Orthodox Divine Liturgy’. The retreat was presided by His Eminence Archbishop Mor C. Eugene Kaplan, Rev. Fr Louis Yacoub, Rev. Fr. George Touma, Rev. Fr. Ephrem Adde, Rev. Fr. Jan Saif, Rev. Fr. Peter Rouboz and Rev. Fr. Fadi Yousif. Mrs. Patricia Allaf, director of the Diocese Sunday School Program and organizer of the retreat, along with the teachers representing the various churches of the diocese participated in this educational event. The retreat studied the Divine Liturgy in which Archbishop Kaplan went through the various part of the Divine Liturgy looking at the spiritual and theological meaning in the Divine Liturgy.
